Today’s big question: How Do I Access God’s Power? So we are going to answer that and bring some key points to this discussion. If we expanded upon that question, How do I access the power of God to create my best life, serve others, and more? And often it is found that people are asking that question because they know that they believe that it’s God’s will for them to hit certain goals, certain objectives but they find themselves falling short of that. Ultimately, they’re saying, I know that God is so powerful, I know His word promises me that the power that comes in my life… BUT HOW do I access that power?

It’s found in the scripture in Ephesian 6, it says finally, my brother, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His mind. “Strong” in this case is a very important word. It’s root word is to be empowered. It’s a combination of two words. One of which is Dynamus, which is the Greek word for power. Dynamus is where we get the word dynamite from which we have talked about in previous blogs. It is the capability and the empowerment of God in our life. So he is saying, Brother, be strong and get empowered with God’s might, His Capability, His Power… and then he says how to do it by putting on the armor of God.

Many of you. of you grew up in Sunday school or maybe you have done a study on the armor of God, often we find ourselves thinking of it in terms of “nice, little pieces of armor that you maybe put on… maybe you don’t know how to create your best life and to receive the empowerment of God in your life.

GOD GIVES US A FORMULA ON HOW TO DO IT… and it is putting on the armor of God. But I really want to highlight one of the pieces of armor. I want to start with the first one, the Belt of Truth. Truth is an interesting element that Jesus said, You will know the truth and the truth will make you free. See the truth of God’s word. The truth has the empowerment, the very power of God to set you free and to keep you free in your life. Truth equals freedom.

Truth Equals Freedom. 

We might say, God, I want your power. I want the power of God… and he’s saying operate in the truth. Discover the truth. Discover the truth of your life. Discover the truth of who you are. Discover the truth of the way you should live out your marriage. Discover the truth of how you should live out your finances.

The reason why the Bible says that Satan is a liar and he’s the father of all lies. So the world that we live in, 2nd Corinthians 4:4, Satan is the God of this world… and do you know how he controls this world? LIES. People live in lies and you can even see it in our culture. As our culture continues to deteriorate within the lies, the more there are lies, the more captive people become to the lies, the schemes, the objectives of Satan. So for you to create your best life, you must put on the belt of truth.

What does God say about the situations in your life? What does He say about you? What does He say about the way your marriage should be? What does he say about all of these elements and more? Put on and activate the what? Activate the power of God by walking out the truth of God in your life.

Let’s think about some of the lies that Satan throws out there that get us… one is that you are insignificant. That is a lie that is thrown out consistently in this culture. If you don’t look a certain way, if you don’t have a certain type of this or that… that lie of insignificance will get you. And in fact it is the very opposite of the truth. The Bible says that you are fearfully and wonderfully made by God.

You are Fearfully & Wonderfully Made.

He says in revelations that He’s made you to be a king and a priest. 1st Peter says that you are a royal priesthood, a holy nation that you were chosen by God. THAT’S THE TRUTH ABOUT WHO YOU ARE. And the lie of insignificance is trying to take you away from the truth.

John 10:10 says that the thief, Satan lies all of it. It comes to do three things in your life… steal from you, kill from you and destroy. And many of you have had your hopes, you have had your dreams and other things stolen from you. They’ve been killed. They’ve been destroyed from you simply because of an acceptance of a lie.

So I challenge you today, put on the belt of truth, activate it on a daily basis in your creation sequence… you know that time first thing in the morning. And watch the difference as the lies go and you live out the truth. Operate in that truth and truth will set you FREE.
